The prince didn’t visit her anymore…and the media was constantly discussing their breakup.
When it finally hit her—when she finally realized the engagement was over, the princess locked herself in her room.
Her parents and the castle staff did whatever they could to coax her out, but nothing prevailed.

The prince jumped. When he didn’t reply, she slammed her fists in her lap.
“Who could be better than me?!”
“It doesn’t matter who it is.” He replied agitated [before standing] up. [When he cooled down a [little], he replied, “Take care of yourself.”]

The princess didn’t like the sound of that.

The princess soon loved everything about her fiance. She was happy he was hers.

The princess was ecstatic and immediately rushed to meet him. She went to kiss him [as she usually did but the prince stopped her.]

They met a few more times after his first visit. At first. the princess dreaded seeing him. But later on, she found herself looking forward to them.
He was kind and polite. The prince was very mature but also had a small “kid at heart” side to him.
